从显卡外观来看标版雷神金刚已经不是采用ATI公板PCB板，而是技嘉科技重新研究设计的，显卡做工用料实足，全部采用贴片铝电容，同时支持VGA，S-Video，DVI输出接口。显卡的核心上附着一个做工不错的散热片，虽然看起来略显单薄，不过散热片较厚，而且鳍片也达到了相当数量，保证显卡的稳定工作应该不是问题。

【标版雷神金刚9800SE使用R350核心】

标版雷神金刚9800SE采用了TSOP封装的现代4纳秒显存，正反共8片，总容量为128MB。根据显存编号看，每颗显存都是16bit的，这样整块显卡的显存带宽正好16*8＝128bit。标版雷神金刚9800SE的核心频率和显存频率分别为380MHz/500MHz，而ATI公版的9800SE的核心频率和显存频率分别为325MHz/500MHz。从这点可以看出标版雷神金刚9800SE虽然采用TSOP封装，但并没有降低显卡性能。
